Join us at The Bead Society November Meeting to learn about Dichroic Glass from member, Tiki Barbeau. Tiki operates a website, called The New Chic GLASS TIKI Jewelry Collection at www.glasstikijewelry.com . Her tag line is Kiln-Fired Dichroic Glass Wearable Art! Wednesday, November 4, 2020 7 pm Zoom Meeting ID: 899 883 2615, Passcode: Beads Dichroic glass is a series of micro-layered metal oxides applied to glass. This process creates a transmitted color and a completely different reflected color. This causes an array of color to be displayed. The colors continue to shift depending on the angle of view. Due to the variation of firing processes, individual results can't be exactly predicted, so each piece of fused dichroic glass is unique. Tiki will show people how to score, break, and design the objects. She’ll demonstrate kiln fusing, cooling and processing.
