Do you want to learn how to burn glass using a kiln? Join us at The Bead Society November Meeting to learn about Dichroic Glass from member, Tiki Barbeau. Tiki operates a website, called The New Chic GLASS TIKI Jewelry Collection at www.glasstikijewelry.com . Her tag line is Kiln-Fired Dichroic Glass Wearable Art! Wednesday, November 4, 2020 7 pm Zoom Meeting ID: 899 883 2615, Passcode: Beads Dichroic glass is a series of micro-layered metal oxides applied to glass. This process creates a transmitted color and a completely different reflected color. This causes an array of color to be displayed. The colors continue to shift depending on the angle of view. Due to the variation of firing processes, individual results can't be exactly predicted, so each piece of fused dichroic glass is unique. Tiki will show people how to score, break, and design the objects. She’ll demonstrate kiln fusing, cooling and processing. Her products list includes earrings, rings, pendants, hair accessories and cabochons. All pieces are unique, wearable art created from Dichroic glass.
Come see this interesting demonstration! The Bead Society business meeting will be at 6:30 pm, same Zoom info.

I find it interesting when you said that there would be various colors displayed when you use dichroic glass in the process. This can be a great option when I find a glass artist to create a piece of jewelry for the gift I am getting my mom. It's her birthday in a couple of months from now, and I want to prepare as early as now to ensure that it will be available on her special day.
