The "Who Knew" Table
|

|
Thanks to the WHO KNEW? TABLE we now know that long time member Ellen Grim turns vintage buttons and bits into unique necklaces, more than forty so far.
And we now know that new member Lee Silton makes stunning High fashion bracelets.
We already knew that Fred and Stella Krieger have a remarkable collection of beaded purses with Oriental rug designs. We knew because their purses have been the subject of several major museum exhibitions. Visiting with them at the WHO KNEW? TABLE surrounded by their huge display was a special Bead Society treat.
We had no idea that David McBride, our host at the Beverly Hills Country Club, is an extremely talented silversmith. It was a wonderful surprise to see his marvelous silver art, complete with photos documenting his stay with Southeast Asian silver artisans, set out on our WHO KNEW? TABLE.
Grants Committee member Nikki Donahue surprised us with the marvelous miniature vignettes that she creates, each complete to the tiniest detail.
Our award winning bead artist Tim Miekle stepped up to the WHO KNEW? TABLE with a delightful sampling of antique eyeglasses.
We could have guessed that Arlene Fate would have a collection of Native American silver and turquoise because she always wears it so well, but this fabulous a collectionŠWHO KNEW?
So WHO NEXT? To share your special interest beyond the beads please contact Lois Rose Rose.

The Bead Society of Los Angeles
monthly meetings feature illustrated
lectures by an authority on beads
or related subjects. Meetings start
with a social hour and refreshments.
This is a great opportunity to meet
with like-minded bead enthusiasts,
collectors, bead-makers and share
their knowledge. This is your bead
society and everyone has the
opportunity to learn something
from others.
